My family recently visited for an afternoon tea as part of the celebrations for my mother's 92nd birthday. We were a party of twelve and we all felt that the afternoon tea was delicious. There was a lovely choice of freshly made sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls, simply delicious fruit or plain scones with jam and clotted cream plus a selection of other homemade individual cakes. There was a good selection of teas as well as coffee if preferred. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and engaging and I would thoroughly recommend as being one of the most delicious afternoon teas on the island. Many thanks to all the staff

Family of 4. Two older children. We had such a great experience at this hotel. It’s lovely. The staff is their biggest asset. Helpful, friendly and welcoming. They took a really friendly approach, chatted to us and were so helpful and responsive when needed. The hotel is not fancy but it’s nice. It’s clean. It’s comfortable. The breakfast is good. Would return

We stayed there recently using a discount voucher through “The Price is Wight” We had to change the date of our original booking and the reception staff were more than helpful. On our arrival we’re were greeted by Tom who was very welcoming and chatty. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was really good too and the service was prompt and again friendly. The hotel itself is a lovely Victorian features and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Just returned home from a wonderful stay in The Bourne Hall Hotel . The staff there are really fabulous, nothing is too much trouble. We were on a tour and they managed to make us all feel so welcome. Our bedroom had a sea view and was spacious . Food good.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Property was probably lovely once but it is showing signs of age, paper peeling in room. Furniture mix of old and flatpack. Faulty kettle. Breakfast options limited and cooked breakfast was not hot from the buffet. All the negatives sound bad but the staff were great and this is not a criticism of them. Some investment is needed to bring this back to be a great hotel.
